Protest Demonstration against Target Murder of Baluch National Leader Nawab Akbar Bugti by Pakistani Army LONDON - Hundreds of Human rights activists protested the killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti in a rally at the British prime minister's office Sunday, Sept. 3, and petitioned for British support against atrocities by the Pakistan military. The protest at 10 Downing Street was spearheaded by World Sindhi Congress (WSC), Baluchistan Action Committee (BAC), Baluchistan Rights Movement (BRM) and Sindhi Baluch Forum (SBF). The determined dissidents included hundreds of Baluchs and Sindhis and other human rights activists from the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States, Sindh and Baluchistan. Nawab Akbar Bugti, who was buried the previous day, was a beacon for Baluchs and Sindhis in their struggle against Pakistan's military regime and their outcry for rights. Among the rally's speakers were Akbar Barkzai, Dr Haleem Bhatti, Lakhu Luhana, Dr Naseer Dashti, Samad Baluch, Abdullah Baluch, Kadir Jatoi, Dr Abdul Doshagi, Abdul Rahman Talpur and Meer Lashari. Mr. Akbar Barkzai said that the fascist Punjabi army has taken away a leader but has strengthened the will to live as an independent nation. Dr. Lakhu Luhana said that the sacrifice of Nawab Akbar Bugti will become a guiding light to lead suppressed nations to political, economic and cultural emancipation. Dr. Naseer Dashti said that Nawab Akbar Bugti gave his life for a cause, bringing the hopes of a Baluch nation much closer. Samad Baluch said that Pakistan's brutal military has lied shamelessly about how it killed Nawab Akbar Bugti. Abdullah Baluch said all the oppressed nations of Pakistan should unite to get rid of their yoke. Mr. Qadir Jatoi said that protests and memorials to Nawab Akbar Bugti show solidarity with Baluch nation. Abdul Rahman Talpur said that the best way to avenge the murder of Nawab Akbar Bugti is to achieve what he was fighting for. Dr. Haleem Bhatti reiterated that the entire Sindhi nation stands with its brother Baluch nation on this monumental loss under the hands of Pakistan's military establishment. To bring about relief from Pakistan tyranny, a petition seeking diplomatic support was presented to Britain's highest elected leader by Akbar Barkzai, Dr Haleem Bhatti, Dr. Ismail Ameeri, Dr Habib Ullah Malik, Mouradan Baloch and Omer Memon.
